Abstract
The mourning of the month of Muharram of the Azeri and Lor tribes has common features that have numerous sociological functions that can affect many social areas, including social security. Therefore, this research conducted a sociological study of the mourning rituals of month of Muharram of Iranian tribes with an approach to affecting social security. This research is qualitative and was conducted using the ethnographic method, and the required information was collected using documentary and observation methods, as well as interviews with informants, and their analysis was carried out. The findings show that the mourning rituals of the month of Muharram have socio-cultural, psychological, emotional, political, and artistic functions, and the correlation between the mourning rituals of the month of Muharram of Iranian ethnic groups (Azeri and Lor) with psychological security (R = 0.412), its correlation with financial security (R = 0.309), and its correlation with life security (R = 0.389), and the mourning rituals of the month of Muharram of Iranian ethnic groups (Azeri and Lor) with a correlation coefficient (R = 0.371) have a moderate and direct relationship with social security and explain and affect 13.7% of the changes in social security.
