The topic of security in society is considered one of the main responsibilities of the government, which is crucial for achieving the efficiency and legitimacy of a political system. The significance of this topic has notably increased in the contemporary world, particularly due to the effects of globalization, soft and cognitive warfare, and hybrid warfare from adversaries. Security and its continuity do not conform to a uniform model across different societies; therefore, one of the key responsibilities of political systems today is to define a specific model based on the conditions and characteristics of each society.The objective of this research is to present and propose a model for the dimensions of internal security for the Islamic Republic of Iran, which takes into account contemporary security theories as well as the political, security, cultural, and social characteristics of the country. To this end, researchers have established a theoretical framework and identified various dimensions by employing library research and exploratory studies aimed at ensuring security within the internal environment of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This research is classified as a descriptive-analytical study.The data collection process utilized a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative data were obtained through content analysis of texts and surveys conducted with 20 experts, while quantitative data were collected through questionnaires distributed among specialists. Analyzing the new security paradigms and the environmental factors specific to the Islamic Republic of Iran indicates that the dimensions of security within the country’s internal environment can be organized into eight categories: spiritual and psychological, political-legal, economic, military and law enforcement, cultural and social, resources and environment, cyber, and hybrid security.
