In the contemporary era, organized criminal groups wield significant influence, posing a threat to the order and internal security of nations. Security studies experts assert that these groups are rapidly expanding their global reach, akin to transnational actors. It is crucial to recognize that organized criminal activities are inherent in any society's criminal landscape. Some of these groups possess the potential to become a serious menace due to the nature, scope, and acquired power associated with their criminal endeavors. This poses a substantial threat to governmental survival and hampers the functionality of political systems. In the present day, organized economic crimes have evolved into an existential threat to the order and internal security of the Islamic Republic of Iran. These crimes not only impact the political, economic, and social aspects of order and internal security but also precipitate various crises for the government. They disrupt the economic system, leading to public dissatisfaction, and in severe cases, contributing to social unrest. Given the paramount importance of the economic dimension in maintaining order and internal security, the repercussions of such crimes extend to other dimensions, exacerbating the overall crisis. This study employs a descriptive and analytical approach to address the fundamental question of whether organized economic crimes exert any influence on the social dimension of order and internal security within the country. The aim is to elucidate the effects of organized economic crimes on the social fabric of the Islamic Republic of Iran, shedding light on their broader societal impact.
